The position is for an Architectural Designer working under the supervision of a licensed Architect. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: review plans submitted by customers to assess practicality, architectural feasibility, and estimating project cost; preparing and designing 2D architectural renderings and animation for new construction projects using Unreal Engine, Revi, Rhino, and Blender; creating virtual/augmented reality renderings using Unreal Engine, Revit, and Rhino to present to clients; designing architectural renderings for affordable living housing developments for low-income clients using Revit, Rhino, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD; creation of permitting plans to be submitted to the appropriate regulatory authority for approval of new construction designs; staying abreast of current municipal and state buildings and zoning codes and regulations; researching geographic trends in housing design to tailor architectural designs to specific geographic regions; researching and staying abreast of construction and materials costs for the purpose of estimating future project costs; designing new prefab structure prototypes using Revit, Rhino, and 3D Print; coordinating with engineers to ensure structure, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing functionality and code compliance; coordinating with project managers and general contractors; and creating RFPs (Response for Proposal) as necessary to bid for government-funded construction projects.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Architecture or Urban Planning and 1 year of experience.
